Product Overview

Cuplock Ledger, or horizontal member by ALTRAD SPAR’s modular scaffolding system, is the main element that connects between standards, thus forming the horizontal level of the structure and enabling sideward support to transoms and working decks. Forge blade ends, one on each end of the ledger, are made very close

specifications so that they can be fitted tightly into the lower cups of vertical standards. After the cup mechanism is engaged and locked, it provides a firm, vibration-free connection that maintains alignment even under heavy loading. The ledger is engineered and certified to keep safety standards set by BS EN 12811, BS EN 74, and Aramco GI 8.001 for structural ‍‌‍‍‌scaffolding.

Features & Advantages

  • Forged Blade Design: Manufactured from high-tensile steel, ensuring consistent fit and strength.
  • Optimistic Locking: Eliminates the need for bolts or loose fittings.
  • High Load Capacity: Supports distributed loads up to 6.3 KN per member.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Hot-dip galvanized (≥ 85 µm) for long-term durability.
  • Dimensional Precision: Tight tolerance ensures perfect alignment with standards.
  • Compatible: Fully interchangeable with global Cuplock systems meeting BS EN standards.

Each ledger is manufactured under strict process control and documented in accordance with the ALTRAD SPAR QA/QC Manual Rev. 5, fully auditable for Aramco and SABIC vendor inspections.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC)

Testing and Inspection Procedures:

  • Raw Material Verification: Mill Test Certificate (EN 10219).
  • Forged Blade Dimensional Check: Gauge inspection for correct radius and tolerance.
  • Welding Inspection: Visual + Magnetic Particle Test (MT) at 10% sampling.
  • Galvanizing Check: ≥ 85 µm coating thickness verified using calibrated Elcometer.
  • Proof Load Test: Conducted quarterly per BS EN 12811.
  • Traceability: Each piece is laser-marked with an item code, a batch number, and a QA stamp..
