Commitment to Quality and Safety

At SPAR, quality and safety are not just procedural — they are foundational to our operations. Our products and services adhere to Aramco GI 8.001, SABIC §9.4, and international scaffolding standards such as BS EN 12811, BS EN 74, and OSHA 1926.

We maintain ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications, ensuring that every scaffold component and service we deliver meets or exceeds global benchmarks.

Our approach integrates inspection discipline, documentation control, and preventive safety culture, guaranteeing reliability from material sourcing to project handover.

Quality Assurance (QA) System

ALTRAD SPAR operates a centralized QA/QC management system across all plants and yards in KSA and UAE. The system ensures every batch, weld, and coating is verified for structural integrity, durability, and compliance before release to clients.

QA Framework

Process Stage Inspection Type Standard Reference Frequency
Raw Material Verification MTC Review / PMI Test EN 10219 / EN 10025 Every Batch
Fabrication & Welding Dimensional & Visual EN ISO 3834-2 Each Component
Load & Proof Testing Hydraulic Frame Test BS EN 12811 Annex D Per Batch
Coating & Galvanizing Elcometer Thickness Check ISO 1461 / ISO 9227 Per Lot
Final Inspection & Marking Visual / Traceability Review Aramco GI 8.001 §5.8 100 %

QA Documentation

Each dispatch or project delivery includes:

  • Material Test Certificate (MTC)
  • Load Test Report
  • Galvanizing / Coating Certificate
  • QA Release Note
  • Batch Traceability Sheet

Quality Control (QC) Procedures

QC is managed through ALTRAD SPAR’s ERP-integrated system, ensuring digital traceability and retention of all inspection records for a minimum of 5 years.

QC Flow

  • Incoming Inspection – Material verification and MTC cross-check.
  • In-Process Inspection – Dimensional, welding, and assembly checks.
  • Load Testing – Random sampling for proof load and deflection.
  • Coating Verification – Hot-dip galvanizing thickness ≥ 85 µm.
  • Marking and Tagging – Permanent ID or batch number with QR linkage.
  • Final Approval – QA Manager release and ERP entry.

Calibration and Control

All testing instruments (load frames, torque wrenches, micrometers) are calibrated in accordance with ISO 9001 §7.1.5 and are traceable to NABL or equivalent authorities.

Safety Management System (HSE)

Overview

Arabian ALTRAD SPAR’s HSE program is aligned with Aramco Construction Safety Manual (GI 7.028) and SABIC SHEMS (Safety, Health, and Environment Management System). We maintain a zero-incident target supported by robust training, hazard assessments, and safety inspections.

HSE Policy Objectives

  • Achieve zero accidents through proactive risk management.
  • Ensure 100 % scaffold inspection tagging before site use.
  • Maintain PPE compliance and safety toolbox sessions.
  • Conduct behavioral safety audits (BBS) monthly.
  • Continuous improvement through HSE KPIs and near-miss tracking.

Safety Training & Competence

All personnel, including scaffolders, inspectors, and supervisors, are trained under:

  • CITB / TUV / Aramco Scaffolding Competence Program (SCP)
  • SABIC-approved Scaffolding EHS module
  • Working at Height & Rescue Procedures (OSHA 1926.501)

Compliance & Standards Integration

Standard / Client Description
Aramco GI 8.001 Scaffold design, inspection, and tagging requirements
SABIC §9.4 Material quality, inspection, and load test protocols
BS EN 12811 Performance requirements for working scaffolds
BS EN 74 Coupler and fitting testing
ISO 1461 / 9227 Hot-dip galvanizing coating and corrosion resistance
ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Integrated Management Systems
OSHA 1926.451–454 U.S. scaffolding safety standards

Certification & Traceability

Each product supplied carries:

  • Unique identification number (Batch + Year + Type)
  • ERP traceable certificate reference
  • QR access to digital QA/QC records
  • Optional client-linked approval record (Aramco/SABIC vendor portal)

Continuous Improvement

Arabian ALTRAD SPAR’s Quality & Safety Department conducts:

  • Monthly internal audits (per ISO 9001 §9.2)
  • Annual management reviews for system upgrades
  • Customer feedback and NCR trend analysis
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) tracking in ERP

Our internal KPI dashboard monitors:

  • NCR closure rate
  • Inspection lead time
  • Calibration compliance
  • Safety incident frequency rate (TRIR, LTIFR)
